TNC25: Brighton, UK | 9-13 June 2025

ABOUT

TNC25 will take place in Brighton, UK, from 9–13 June 2025 and will be hosted by Jisc, the National Research and Education Network of the United Kingdom.

TNC FOR THE FIRST TIME?

The largest and most prestigious research and education networking conference, TNC attracts a truly diverse audience of over 800 participants from more than 70 countries, representing national and regional research and education networks, schools and universities, technology providers, and many of the world’s most exciting scientific projects. By bringing together decision-makers, networking and security specialists, identity and access management experts, researchers, academics and students, TNC offers a unique collaborative experience.

DIGITAL GENERATIONS

We often hear the term ‘digital natives’ to describe a person who has grown up in the information age but we are all living in that age – we are all the Digital Generations.

Tirana, awarded the European Youth Capital for 2022, is the perfect juxtaposition of these generations with a vibrant community of students and young workers.
Serving all digital generations is a challenge that NRENs must face, from building innovative educational experiences to supporting advanced research projects that have spanned decades.
Our conference in Tirana will be the perfect opportunity to reflect on how we engage digital generations and to reflect on how we are integrating future generations into our own organisations and infrastructure.

EMERGING NREN PROGRAMME

SYNERGIES AND CONNECTIONS

Launched in 2018, the Emerging NREN Programme, funded by the GÉANT Project, is a key feature of TNC. Its main goal is to integrate representatives from emerging NRENs worldwide into the TNC community, fostering collaborations and building connections at various organisational levels between European and international NRENs. For further information, please contact Luis Martin Flores at GÉANT.

FUTURE TALENT PROGRAMME

The Future Talent Programme (FTP) provides a unique opportunity for students and young professionals to receive professional training to learn how to pitch their proposals and deliver a powerful presentation. For those selected to take part in the FTP’s Lightning Talk Challenge, participants will present their Lightning Talk on stage at TNC. For further information, please contact Lisa Melrose at GÉANT.
