TNC25: Brighton, UK | 9-13 June 2025
Every year at TNC, we aim to make sustainable choices to reduce our environmental impact and work towards responsible and transparent practices. This is part of a process of continuous improvement. At TNC25, we will implement the following:
The conference venue, the Brighton Dome, is committed to reach net zero in their own operations by 2030. The venue measures and monitors the consumption of gas, electricity and water and tracks progress to reduce the carbon footprint. The Brighton Dome also makes additional investment annually to purchase 100% renewable REGO backed electricity and remove the remaining non LED lighting in the Concert Hall. They are on the way to ridding the venue of single use plastic, have achieved a recycling rate of 75%, and use e-tickets with saves approximately 250,000 printed paper tickets, ink, electricity and delivery. Promotional materials and sets are also being re-used.
Sussex, the region of Brighton, has beautiful local produce. This means that Hardings Catering and Scoops Trycicles, the TNC25 caterers, are able to serve high quality food -including ice creams that isn’t ultra processed! – with as many real ingredients as possible from local producers.
We no longer print event specific lanyards but provide generic GÉANT lanyards for our events and collect them at the end. Most of TNC25 promotional materials are digital.
In the TNC Exchange all the exhibition stalls are made of purchased pine, and the canopies are reclaimed sailing canvas. The panels and frames of the booths are fully re-usable and are maintained to a high standard to ensure the longest possible shelf life.
We have also chosen Furniture Hire UK as TNC25 furniture supplier. They work with renting items in bulk, with sustainable materials and reducing packaging.
TNC, the largest and most prestigious research and education networking conference, attracts a diverse audience of over 800 participants from more than 70 countries and offers a unique collaborative experience.
